Strafing of Lincoln prompts UK-operated drone rethink
The MoD is to reconsider the decision to remotely operate armed drones from Britain, after a house in a suburb of Lincoln was devastated by several missile strikes yesterday afternoon.
In a statement issued today, the RAF said it had detained a pilot stationed at RAF Waddington following an incident involving a Reaper drone that had ‘deviated significantly from its intended target’.
‘The pilot in question is currently helping the Royal Air Force Police with their enquiries into an on-going dispute with a neighbour, believed to relate to excessively high Leylandii,’ they added.Click to send this story to a friend
