There was uproar at the Pedant’s Association this week when the chairman made a number of basic errors that resulted in calls for his resignation. Having already put the apostrophe in the wrong place, he reported that they had less members because they had been ‘decimated’ by competition from other organizations. The rest of the morning was then lost as the man taking the minutes asked if organization was spelt with an ‘s’ or a ‘z’.
The meeting finally broke up after a heckler claimed that they were supposed to be called the ‘Association of Pedants’.
