G4S to escort G4S to court
The government has confirmed that following investigations into fraud at G4S, and with charges pending, G4S has been hired to escort G4S to court.
The contract, worth £250,000 was awarded after it became clear that electronically tagging G4S wouldn’t be sufficient to know with certainty its whereabouts, if the right G4S had been tagged or even if G4S was still alive, according to the company contracted to monitor the tags, G4S.
A spokesman explained; ‘G4S were the lowest bidder for the contract, actually they were the only ones we asked to bid, so it’s makes sound financial sense for the taxpayer to use them for the escort duty. Yes, they were due a few days ago, but I’m sure they’ll turn up soon.’Click to send this story to a friend
