Spending spree at Arsenal FC finally begins as Wenger buys Galaxy McFlurry
The rumoured summer spending spree at Arsenal looks set to be underway at last as manager Arsene Wenger was spotted buying a Galaxy Caramel McFlurry at a McDonalds near the Emirates Stadium.
With fans frustrated by the lack of transfer activity the sight of Wenger handing over £1.29 for an item that is not even part of the Saver menu will provide some much needed optimism, especially after the Gunners were handed a tricky draw in the Champions League.
“With deadline day looming we really need to start splashing the cash, and the fact that Wenger has gone for a premium dessert is encouraging news.” said Mark Bishop from fanzine The Gooner, “This could be the start of what we have been waiting for, and with an estimated hundred million to spend I can’t wait to see who comes in next.”
Wenger is now rumoured to be casting an eye over a cheap French brand of ice cream that nobody has ever heard of.
