Grandmother Margaret Edwards has another thirty-six sleepless nights to endure before Christmas Day when she fears her family will be giving her an iPad as a Christmas present.
Mrs Edwards (79) first became aware of her family’s intentions when her grandchildren started asking her what colour iPad she liked ‘just suppose you had one’.
Although she has since been dropping daily hints that she would like a new pair of slippers, she fears she’ll be unwrapping a space grey iPad Air 128GB on Christmas Day.
‘I suppose I’ll just smile and pretend I’m overjoyed,’ Mrs Edwards said, ‘ but I’ll not know what to do with it. I’m still struggling with that Xbox they gave me last year.’
