An arrest warrant has been issued for the capture of a man who evaded police surveillance and escaped from a baker’s in Keighley, West Yorkshire by disguising himself as Zsa Zsa Gabor.
Barry Gubbins, 49, disappeared on 6 November after entering Greggs in shorts and T Shirt but left via a service door dressed as the well-known Hungarian-born American socialite and actress.
CCTV footage captured the suspect entering the building, and he was seen leaving by an eyewitness who said; ‘He looked radiant, to be honest’
It transpires that Mr Gubbins has slipped the net several times before in a similar way – In June he gave police the slip from The Museum of Natural History by wearing a pair of thick spectacles and a huge false nose. He has also twice evaded detection by leaving Ladbrokes betting office in Gipton dressed as Chewbacca.
‘He must be getting changed in the toilets’ said a police spokesman.
