New X Factor winner hits big time with first major stage role
Just hours after being crowned champion of X Factor 2013, winner Sam Bailey has secured her first starring role on stage, her agent has confirmed.
Sam beat off contenders from Emmerdale and Real Housewives to land the plum role of Jack in Great Yarmouth’s ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ where she will play alongside kids from St. Mary’s Bluecoats Primary school in what promises to be the pinnacle of her career.
Sam’s agent has said the move from X Factor straight to panto will bypass 12 months of diminishing record sales and ultimate pub quiz anonymity. ‘Jack is a fantastic role for Sandra so soon after winning X Factor,’ said agent Tasha Fielding, ‘we just hope the audience will remember her name long enough to still be shouting it at the end of the run. It’s on until mid-January and that’s quite a long time in this business so all we can do is cross our fingers for her and hope. Way-to-go babes, live the dream!’Click to send this story to a friend
