Banksy-style stencil packs sent up north to narrow housing divide
DIY stencil packs are being promoted as the answer to the north-south divide after house price analysts have noticed that whenever the mysterious graffiti guerilla artist Banksy spray paints one of his artworks onto the wall of a house, its price rockets almost immediately. So far, Banksy has only been active in southern England, where he has caused the current housing bubble.
Northern home owners are being advised to spray paint their own houses Banksy-style between 3.00 and 5.30 a.m. on Sunday morning, then post photos and videos on social media websites and contact the local press at about 7.30 for maximum publicity. It is predicted that the average Leeds semi will sell within two days for an average of £270,000, though there is still no chance of the north featuring on any TV property programmes.
