‘Last Man Standing’ award for Tony Blackburn

After months of questioning, investigation and developed vetting, Tony Blackburn has received the Radio Academy Award for being the last DJ from the seventies still at liberty to work.

Mr Blackburn, expressing delight at the award, put it down to all those ‘years of grizzling over Tessa Wyatt putting me off my stride when it came to being tempted to sexualy assault anyone’.

A spokesman for the Academy said, ‘obviously we’re still nervous, but the award does come with an SAE so Mr Blackburn can return it to us if anything dodgy comes out of the woodwork later’.
