Joe Hart has revealed he believes it is more important to have thicker, more manageable hair than it is to have World Cup winners medals.
The England goalkeeper warned that a Premier League player’s career is short and they should consider spending less time constantly obsessing about winning silverware when they could be in the shower instead with a bottle of quality shampoo fighting dandruff and getting sleeker, more managable, longer lasting hair.
Hart reminded players on both sides that the World Cup comes around every four years but warned that once your hair falls out – that’s it – gone. ‘Having shiny, thick blonde hair gives me great confidence,’ added Hart. ‘Successful teams will only have a DVD to remind them of winning the World Cup but I only have to catch myself in the mirror for an hour or two or three to remind me that even now, after all we’ve been through, I still have lovely hair.’
As Germany and Argentina prepare to meet on Sunday night in the final of the World Cup 2014, Hart wished the players well but said he probably wouldn’t be watching the final as he had to stop in that night to do something important. He wouldn’t say what.
