Teenage boys will soon need little encouragement to get on their bikes with the introduction of a range of new cycle racks for schools. The Kim Kardashian cycle rack is just one of a new range of bicycle racks especially developed to encourage boys to cycle to school in a new Government health initiative.
Designer Bod Thicke said: ‘The inspiration for my arse-shaped racks came from the perpetual growth of Miss Kardashian’s posterior. She doesn’t have much use in real life but her arse is a designer’s dream.’
‘Parking your bike has never been so popular.’ Said head teacher Giles Monahan at the launch of a new bike shed at Islington Academy. ‘Boys also have a choice of the medium range Taylor Swifter, ideal for hybrids and racing bikes or the Rihanna Rack which will accommodate off road bikes with much wider tyres.’
The Kim Kardashian also comes complete with an automatic locking device, which only an umbrella and a bucket of water can disengage.
The design has now been rolled out into public spaces, but it’s popularity in village locations has led to some conflict between cyclists and tractor drivers who are reported to be using the racks to park their Massey Fergusson and John Deere vehicles.
Thicke added: ‘These are easy mistakes to make and so we recognise that we still have a few cracks to fill.’
