Auto Pilot, the magazine for early adopter of driverless cars, has launched in a fanfare of publicity at the temporary offices of Zeitgeist Publishing in a local health facility.
Despite criticism of its editorial slant to a very small demographic of middle-aged men with head injuries and a lack of interest in their long term futures, editor Dave Carson said that the driverless car is the future and that number of fatalities ‘has been massively exaggerated’.
Whilst a couple of the other editorial staff had died recently, he admitted, they could easily have been wiped out in normal life. ‘Accidents happen. They could have been killed crossing the road. In fact, now I think of it, I’m sure our car clipped them before that tram ploughed into us. It was probably being not driven by a woman.’
