Migrants have been making a series of complaints today at delays experienced at the Eurostar tunnel. ‘I’ve been queuing for hours,’ said Abdul from the tarpaulin he is hiding under. ‘Every time it looks like we will get closer, bloody British holidaymakers return from an early break in Europe and jump the queue’.
He added: They complain they’ve ‘waited bloody hours’, and have ’emails up the bloody Ying Yang’ to deal with. Well, we’ve been waiting for bloody years and don’t know what an email is’.
Eurostar stated that they were doing everything they could to speed up the backlog – bribing Gendarmes, looking the other way and offering migrants BOGOF offers, however they insisted that they took security very seriously. ‘I mean, if they catch us, they’ll have our guts for garters,’ said a spokesman today.
