Tory MPs threaten to walk out if junior doctors don’t go back to work

Conservative MPs say they are prepared to take industrial action if junior doctors do not accept the new pay and conditions contract currently on offer. It is not clear what significance the loss of 330 Conservative MPs would have on the running of the country but some experts warn that the impact might be felt as far away as Parliament Square, while others warn it could even reach the tree on the other side of the green.

The MPs said they were unhappy about their workload and having to work 148 days a year leaves little time for outside interests such as consultancy work, directorships and meeting lobbyists to snort coke at Boujis. The 24-hour strike is due to start at 8am tomorrow and all non-emergency Government activity – or all government activity, in other words – is being cancelled.
