Faced with a slowdown in sales and resulting decline in its previously boundless profits, Apple is believed to be secretly planning a new version of its hugely successful iPhone. Tapping into current concerns about the environment, it is understood that the designers will endeavour, whenever possible, to use natural materials in its construction.
‘The company’s problem has been the slowdown in the sale of new phones,’ confided one insider. ‘The benefit of an organic phone is not just the appeal to a whole swathe of new customers who want something a bit different and eco-friendly. The biggest bonus for us is that, after a few weeks, the new phones will start to rot. Not quite Apple PiePhones – more like Apple Crumble.’
