Following the revelation that the passage that has been used by the Roman Catholic church to prevent women being ordained was written a long time after the main text, researchers now believe the whole book from Genesis to the closing chapter of Dan Brown’s latest novel might actually be fiction.

‘To be fair, the additions written in crayon should have been a giveaway,’ said one theology researcher today, ‘but the phrase “nada nada nada”, repeated in multiple places, should also have started bells ringing,’ he added.

Christians in the US are following the debate closely. ‘If we can get a couple of Commandments struck off, specifically the ones relating to infidelity and murder, then we have pretty much achieved the perfect religion,’ said one American Christian who admitted that ‘coveting the neighbour’s donkey, or whatever, could stand being lost too.’
