Tesco has announced that all babies will be removed from their stores across the country amid fears that some of the store’s baby care products could kill them. The move comes after a sleep-positioning aid for infants killed over 1,000 babies and left many more injured last week.
‘We have taken this measure as a precaution,’ said a Tesco spokesman. ‘The babies will be kept in storage for a short period and tests will be carried out to decide on their compatibility with our products. If there is any cause for concern, the babies will be destroyed immediately, in accordance with our strict child safety guidelines.’
This move comes just two weeks after Lidl had over 500,000 old-age pensioners shot and buried in ditches amid reports of a number of adverse reactions to its cut-price reading glasses.
