Police say they have released an American woman on bail after being called to a domestic disturbance at a residence in Sandringham, Norfolk, on Christmas Eve. It is believed that she is likely to face magistrates in Thetford on charges of aggravated breach of etiquette.
Unconfirmed reports said that trouble started after the family’s distribution of festive presents, when the woman expressed extreme dissatisfaction at what she called the ‘cheap tat’ she received. She went on to complain the 22-course swan lunch was very meagre compared to what her folks back in the States would serve, whereupon a fracas developed.
One elderly member of the family commented: ‘Kids today know sod all. I warned the silly little ginger bugger about her. But you see this is what happens when you let foreigners in – although at least she doesn’t have slanty eyes’.
