‘Action’ to be introduced in bid to make cricket interesting

The MCC are considering significant changes to widen the appeal of cricket, including the suggestion that occasionally ‘something ought to happen.’ The move is one of a package of measures being considered by the ECB in an attempt to make the game more accessible to anyone who isn’t white and retired and living in Shropshire.

Another radical idea to make the sport more popular include making a match last 90 minutes instead of several weeks and replacing the traditional cricket ball with a bigger, air-filled one that players will be able to kick into large rectangular ‘goals’.
