The cast of The Brexit Referendum are getting back together again to celebrate nearly 3 years since the sitcom first aired. Farage, Johnson, Mogg and Gove will feature in hours of coverage over the next few months.
It was not critically successful at first, splitting the audience almost exactly down the middle. However, over time people have really made up their minds about it.
There will be tributes to some of the show’s funniest moments, including some of the catchphrases that have become much loved by audiences over the years such as “£350 million for the NHS”, and “Getting out of the EU can be quick and easy.
Fans of the show should not get their hopes up though, as there isn’t much of a chance of anyone getting what they want.
“I just don’t think it would work,” Johnson said earlier this year. “In fact I never thought it would!”.
“The reason it was so funny is because you had these idiotic, ignorant lads that you let them get away with saying things that would be quite offensive. But as the truth dawns you can’t excuse it.”
“It’s so exciting the boys will be back together to feel that love from all those people and enjoy it first-hand. What could possibly go wrong?”
