A London man has been kicked out of his family home after admitting to not liking the Pogues Christmas song ‘Fairytale of New York’.
The shocked family were left distraught as 28 year old Darren Smith said ‘It’s not really that good is it?’ when the song came on the radio. ‘Let’s be honest, Shane Macgowan’s voice doesn’t even rival the drunk bloke down the pub. I prefer Shakin’ Stevens and Wham at Christmas time, none of that penny whistle rubbish’.
Darren’s mother Susan was almost inconsolable when her son announced his opinion. ‘I thought I had raised my son better than this. To think he doesn’t like such a Christmas classic makes me feel physically sick. He’s no better than a scumbag or a maggot. He’s a cheap lousy faggot…’
Darren shrugged at his mother’s statement, replying ‘Merry Christmas your arse, I pray god it’s our last… Ahh bollocks’.
