A woman from Milton Keynes has expressed her concern that she may have contracted a virus called ‘PPI’ after listening to her car radio.
“It’s scary”, said the 71-year-old grandmother. “Every time I go driving I hear warnings on the radio about something called ‘PPI’. I’m worried because people always say that I have an infectious personality so it sounds exactly like the sort of thing I might have. Is it hereditary? Is it contagious? Is it a winter bug or something more prominent in the summer months? I just don’t know.
“My GP told me that it’s nothing to worry about and I should just maybe try listening to CDs in my car instead of the radio but, with the greatest of respect, my GP is an idiot.”
GP Simon Harrison said: “I spent most of the time trying to explain what the PPI adverts were about but she ended up accusing me of being part of a global conspiracy. It was an interesting 3 hours.”
