Ralph Belcher of Leicester has tearfully confessed that during his teenage years, he didn’t in fact spend any time Kung Foo fighting.
Speaking to reporters, Mr Belcher said, ‘I feel so bad for Carl Douglas. He went on Top of Pops – a programme renown for honesty and decency and stated quite clearly that ‘Everyone was Kung Foo fighting’ and all these years I have lived with the secret that this wasn’t actually true. I was spending most of my time hanging around the bus-station.’
But Mr Belcher’s claim has brought other contemporary claims into question. Further investigation has revealed that the midnight train to Georgia was in fact cancelled, and the man in question was leaving on the bus replacement service.
