Godzilla criticises lack of roles for irradiated prehistoric sea monsters

The star of ‘Godzilla: King of the Monsters’ has taken to Twitter to criticize the film industry for not handing out enough diverse roles to gigantic killer dinosaurs that emerge from the bottom of the ocean.
Yesterday Godzilla tweeted from his official account: ‘Hey guys, here’s a question, when have you ever seen a 300 foot tall lizard take the lead in a romantic comedy?’

The veteran actor followed this up with: ‘Come on people! We need more positive role models for violent reptilian colossi #monsterstoo’. Supporters of Godzilla have also pointed to the fact that not one film honored at Oscars 2019 passed the Bechdel monster test – where two monsters talk to each other in a movie about something other than destroying a major city.
