A Daily Mirror spokesman confirmed today that once the ‘school holiday prices rocket in the summer’ exposé has run its natural course there are dozens of other ‘bewildering reveals ready to roll.
‘Did you know day follows night? Every time? Someone should do something about it,’ said the spokesman, adding, ‘Did you know a stitch in time saving nine is statistically inaccurate? In fact there is no basis in truth for this. The government should know better.’
A government spokesman decried the exposés as fake news. ‘Night follows day? Maybe, but not if night equates to a Brexit vote. And as regards stitch ups – well, really. Wait until Boris is PM.’
