Global warming – world leaders agree ‘to cross that bridge when we come to it’

At the Reykjavik summit on Climate Change this week, world leaders agreed that global warming, rising sea levels and worldwide flooding are massive challenges facing mankind but were ‘far enough away to be ignored for the time being’.

Amid reports that the ice caps are melting faster than previously thought, leaders of the industrialised nations expressed their grave concerns about the dangers of rising sea levels wiping out whole countries, drowning millions and completely altering the climate of Planet Earth.

However on hearing that this was all over thirty years away, the leaders agreed to come back to the problem ‘nearer the time’.
