Boris: “I’d rather be dead in a ditch than delay Brexit” puts MPs in dilemma

Boris Cops

After Boris Johnson claimed that he’d rather be dead in a ditch than delay Brexit, MPs across the political spectrum have admitted they now have a much harder decision to make.

‘Previously I’d have voted for Brexit without hesitation, but now I’m suddenly very tempted to vote for a delay,’ said one Tory backbencher who did not wish to be named.

‘We didn’t know we had the choice,’ said many other MPs, some of whom are now hinting the new option will certainly add spice to proceedings next week, when without any hint of irony whatsoever, Mr Johnson is hoping that a second vote that he has tabled for Monday – simply because he didn’t like the result of the first one when they said no  – will sanction a snap general election.

Meanwhile Michael Gove would not be drawn on the matter commenting rather cryptically: ‘Hmm… I wonder if I’ve saved that knife from last time.’
