Following the last Conservative MP to resign, barring himself and Jacob Rees-Mogg, Boris Johnson has resigned his Conservative whip and joined the DUP as ‘they’re they only people who seem to share my liberal views’.
Since Boris started purging the party of people who Dominic Cummings didn’t like, which incidentally included a reflection of Mr Cummings on the landing at number 10, he’s found himself increasingly isolated. When the guy nobody remembers who represented the place in the Midlands nobody’s heard of resigned today he decided he’d had enough.
‘I’m still Prime Minister, I have eight or so loyalist MPs backing me, I can do this,’ he said to a tree in the garden behind number 10. The DUP said they were pleased they were now the government, but ‘wanted to be sure, to be sure.’
