Shapps swaps three-point turn for u-turn in revamped driving test

It has been revealed today The Department for Transport is to bring in changes to the driving test. Speaking to reporters Grant Shapps said: ‘We’ve been looking at this and have decided the test as it currently stands needs something of a shake-up.’

‘In particular one of the most problematical set piece manoeuvres is to be scrapped as statistics now show us that a disproportionately high number of candidates fail on this one element alone, indeed more than anything else within the exam. I can therefore announce after direct intervention in the process, by none other than the PM himself, the three-point turn will now be replaced by the u-turn.’

‘It’s a much easier move to execute and one, given our administration’s current style of governance, something we are sure the general public will feel much more familiar and at ease with.’
