Parents Gary and Carrie Harris were said to be devastated this Christmas morning when their twenty month old daughter, Fleur-Alora, seemed to prefer her presents to the wrapping paper they came in.
“It was awful,” said Carrie. “You hear about things like this but you never think it will happen to your own. I’d even bought a tripod for my I-Phone 12 Pro so we could film it for Tiktok. it would have been hilarious. It was good paper, too. From John Lewis.”
Husband, Gary, told reporters, “I was devastated. She just sat there cuddling her new Steiff teddy bear and casually tossed the wrapping to one side. And she was smiling! I scrunched the paper into a ball and rolled it to her but it’s like she was obsessed! We’ve had problems with Fleur-Alora before, though. Like, that one breakfast time, when she refused to eat her garlic and hummus rugbrod. Her psychiatrist says it’s normal behaviour but it just seems so wrong!”
Gary has ordered a DNA test and has contacted the private maternity clinic where their daughter was born to check there were no mix ups on the day she was born.
