In the wake of the prime minister’s announcement that the majority of the south east have been placed into Tier 4 came the silver lining that serial restriction-dodger, Rita Ora, would be performing at Barnard Castle on Boxing Day.
Tickets for the open-air gig sold out four minutes after going on sale. Ora fan, Talia Harris, commented: “Going into Tier 4 was like: ugh! Then we got tickets and we knew the right thing to do was drive hundreds of miles from London to see Rita, on my partner’s birthday too.”
Rail companies have noticed a huge upsurge in demand for tickets to the Newcastle and Durham area, as thousands of Ora fans plan to leave their covid cares at home and float on cloud 9, at the Tier 0 castle.
Award-winning pop singer Ora, has always championed alternative options to government-proscribed guidelines concerning pandemic safety, chiefly by attending her thirtieth birthday party along with thirty guests whilst still in quarantine.
Concerning the Barnard Castle gig, Rita commented: ‘I’ll be performing a bunch of new songs highlighting the pain and suffering other people will be enduring whilst in Tier 4. And all my hits!’
Rita’s new single: ‘Tear 4 Tier 4’ is available for download tomorrow.
