I have just done a deeply disturbing fart in my office, which has air conditioning.
Should I open the window, which will make the Aircon work harder, or temporarily endure the pong to reduce greenhouse gas emissions?

A Scientist Writes:
" Dear Flatulent of Cheam - Leave it to the aircon. The GHGs that you have produced will find their way into the atmosphere eventually, however entraining them in aircon condensate may lead to their conversion to microbial biomass in any biofilm your aircon produces. Opening the window results in a futile attempt to cool the whole plant, producing even more GHGs".
It's the new Brazilian variant of Covid which is transmitted anally.
As a stickler for following the science I'd say just go for herd immunity
You should be farting from home, if possible.
2 metres distance is a minimum, obviously
Should anyone approach close enough to smell it ask them if they can detect your very clever Covid smell test? If not they need to isolate - As indeed it appears you should.
A more pressing question - when I fart, and obviously expel relatively low density mass in aerosol form, do I lose or gain weight?
... I have just done a deeply disturbing fart in my office ...
Deeply disturbing for whom? The farter or the fartee(s)?

With farts, it's the sneaky un-herd ones which seem to cause the most distress.
