Baron Cohen to retire ‘Gordon Brown’ character

Sacha Baron Cohen is to retire his much-loved character Gordon Brown, when his current Channel 4 series ends this month.

The comedian, who was widely condemned for a stunt in which a bare-bottomed Brown abseiled onto the lap of the Duke of Edinburgh during a state banquet, said the ‘Prime Minister’ had reached his best-before date.
