Londoners take to the streets in support of Galloway
The ex-Respect MP had declared his candidacy for Mayor of London and 'cat impressionist to the masses'. One confused Londoner commented: 'I don't know what came over me; I just felt this need to spontaneously endorse the most ridiculous candidate I could find. With Boris gone, I didn't know where to turn'.
Welcoming a new era of Galloway self-aggrandisement, a spokesman said: 'George is just responding to this groundswell of popular opinion. His campaign is set to sweep London with the speed of the Great Fire...and much the same effect'.
