Public mistake The Walking Dead for the media’s Ebola coverage

Seventeen million Americans tuned into the fifth season of AMC’s post-apocalyptic horror show, on the deluded assumption that it was a public information film created by Fox News. Said one viewer: ‘Doing battle with flesh-eating undead and wading knee-deep in zombie innards, is just like spending ten minutes with Bill O'Reilly’.

As the TV characters head to Washington in search of virus cure; many viewers said that it was deeply unrealistic that any solution to the world’s problems would be found there. With others suggesting that beheading zombies was a far more effective screening process, than the one currently employed in US airports.
