Developer warns new ski resort is 'the start of a slippery slope'

Plans to build a Winter Wonderland in the local area have been beset with problems, said one environmentalist: ‘We’ve been excluded from discussions about temperature, which has left us out in the cold.

We’re concerned that plans to create a slope using artificial snow is starting to snowball. Even supplies of snow boots have been delayed, so many of us are getting cold feet about the whole project’.

The developer admitted that building a rink on a warm lake, is a bad idea: ‘Quite frankly, we’re skating on thin ice’.
