A spokesman for Home Secretary Suella Braverman has defended the Home Secretary's approach to 'illegal migrants' claiming grandfather rights, literally.
'We have evidence that thousands of migrants landed in the UK in hundreds of small boats from France as long ago as May and June 1940, and just like the jokers arriving every day now they were all predictably making a fuss about being persecuted, victims of an oppressive state, escaping tyranny, yada yada yada; but when you drill down into the details they were predominantly young males and many even had the gall to be carrying weapons!
'We didn't do anything about them then and it's still going on now. We should have sent them back to bloody Dunkirk,' he added.
In Canada, also, there’s much contempt for migrants, and even [“fake”] refugees, many of whom are rightfully despondent, perhaps enough so to work very hard in cashless exchange for basic food and shelter.
These human beings don't willfully/contently become permanent financial/resource burdens on their host nation. And they do want to pull their own weight through employment, even if only to prove their detractors wrong. ... And, by the way, what happened to our 'Christian charity and compassion'?
Migrant laborers should be treated humanely, including timely access to proper work-related bodily protections, but too often are not.
Also, conveniently ignored is the fact many are fleeing global-warming-related extreme weather events and chronic crop failures in the southern hemisphere widely believed…
