Musk 'absolutely not going to big-up crypto, no way. Well, maybe a little bit..'

Elon Musk will not use twitter to push his crypto holdings up to, say, a cool $60 billion dollars, it was confirmed today. 'Look man, the whole crypto story is fake news' said Mr Musk. 'Why would anyone risk $44billion to make a few bucks? I just want the world to use my filter. Oh, also, did I mention we're launching TeslaCoin next week? Very reasonable, get 'em while they're hot. Thought you might like to know.'

Twitter representatives were unavailable to answer questions, but released the following statement. 'We're busy right now blocking tweets about Tesla supplying the CIA with autonomous spy seagulls' .

Musk is at least partially to blame for the current decline in bitcoin and the larger crypto complex since his social media posts have an outsized impact on the values of dogecoin and bitcoin. He was said to be the biggest influencer on bitcoin in a Wall Street Journal piece published last month, there is no concrete evidence to support that. But one thing is certain: Kevin Kang, co-founder and principal at BKCoin Capital, told MarketWatch in an email remark while attending a bitcoin conference in Miami that "Musk is definitely too influential on Bitcoin prices."

Kang's comments follow Musk's cryptic statement from Thursday night, which many in the world of digital assets saw as the billionaire's split with bitcoin.…
